I am running this half marathon in memory of my mum, in the hope of raising some more money for the Roy castle Lung cancer Foundation in her memory. This is the only charity solely dedicated to defeating Lung Cancer, the biggest cancer killer in the world. I’d like to raise as much money as I can , to help fight this disease in the hope that this will prevent many families from the experience that I had. The date of the event is particularly important , as the following day will be the anniversary of her death, so  I wanted to do something positive to mark this.
